Zapatos Express was founded in March of 2017 by Brandon Ivey, a current UNC sophomore, who saw a need of his peers. Parties, rushing Franklin after beating Duke, or even just walking to class left expensive and beautiful shoes looking like tattered scraps of leather and cloth. Thus, Zapatos Express was born. Who's behind Zapatos Express?
Brandon Ivey: CEO
Currently a sophomore at UNC-Chapel Hill, Brandon is an Economics and Public Policy double-major with a minor in Entrepreneurship. Brandon is also a member of the UNC Student Congress and UNC Taekwondo Club.
Mario Santiago: Head of Business Development
Mario is currently a sophomore at UNC-Chapel Hill. A Business and Public Policy double-major, Mario is also involved with the Carolina Millennial Scholars Program and The Ability Experience.
Sachin Bettadapur: COO
Currently a sophomore at UNC-Chapel Hill, Sachin is double-majoring in business and public policy. Zapatos Express is the third start-up he's worked with at UNC.
Justin Reich: CMO
Currently a freshman at UNC-Chapel Hill, Justin is majoring in Business Administration. He also works in a marketing capacity with a NC-based non-profit, The Global Oasis Project
Parker Moss: CFO
Currently a sophomore at UNC-Chapel Hill, Parker is double-majoring in Business and Sports Administration.
